Just as we were achieving extraordinary progress in reducing youth use of cigarettes, we face a new crisis. There’s a public health emergency unfolding right before our eyes — and the cause couldn’t be clearer. With kids returning to school, it’s critical for principals to know about the dangers of e-cigarettes and how they can get involved in the fight to reverse the youth e-cigarette epidemic and continue driving down youth tobacco use.
Participants will:
- Learn about current youth tobacco use including epidemic levels of youth e-cigarette use.
- Hear about the efforts to address the youth e-cigarette epidemic and how principals can get involved.
- Be given resources to prevent youth from starting to use tobacco products and help those that are using quit.
