Kimberly E. Hill

For the past twelve years, Kimberly Hill has served as Assistant Principal and Principal of Leila Davis Elementary School, a high performing school with over 800 students and a wide range of learners. Hill’s focus on setting high expectations in a nurturing learning environment with a commitment to collaborative planning has led Davis Elementary to consistently earn an A grade through the Florida State Schools Accountability System, ranking within the top five performing elementary schools in Pinellas County. She is passionate about teaching young scholars to be responsible digital citizens, empowering teachers to research and pilot innovative strategies using technology platforms to showcase student learning. Hill and her staff have written grants and managed fundraising campaigns to make technology available to students, and she was recently recognized with the Digital Leader of Early Learning Award from NAESP for integrating technology in daily lesson plans for students of all levels. Described by a teacher as “dedicated to her craft of leadership not only as a leader but as a mentor, a visionary, and a strong supporter of her staff,” Hill chairs the Principals’ Curriculum Committee and is the Central Regional Director of the Florida Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida, where she also serves as a mentor for leadership candidates.
