Principals’ Issues Top Priority for New Congress

By Kelly Pollitt Communicator November 2012, Volume 36, Issue 3 President Obama’s reelection and the new configuration of Congress will likely bring education issues to the forefront of policymaking, with a focus on issues for principals. While we expect the debate about the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) to continue where lawmakers left off with bills currently circulating in Congress, there is a great deal of uncertainty if the policies will be finished anytime over the coming year.
