NAESP Foundation and Landscape Structures announced today that they are partnering to bring inclusive playground to schools through an essay contest, School Grounds. Playground. Common Ground.TM

One grand prize of $50,000 in Landscape Structure’s inclusive playground equipment will be awarded to a school in North America, while five runner ups will each receive inclusive playground equipment valued at $15,000. The contest is open to practicing elementary and middle school principals, assistant principals, and related educators who are legal residents of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec).

“We share a joint commitment to enhancing the lives of children with inclusive play environments, and feel that School Grounds. Playgrounds. Common Ground TM will help further this mission,” says Pat Faust, president of Landscape Structures.

To enter, qualified contestants must complete an online entry form and submit an original essay that describes their vision for inclusive play by June 30. Complete contest rules are available at the contest website.
