The leadership and hard work of principals advance the success of schools, educators, and students. So NAESP is celebrating principals a little more than usual this—and every—October during National Principals Month.

No one understands how hard principals work more than their students and teachers. This toolkit is available to students and teachers who want to #ThankAPrincipal.

Video Contest: During National Principals Month, students can create a fun one-minute video that explains what their principal means to them, their school, and their community. Each winning school will receive a $200 Visa gift card. View past submissions, too.

Send an e-Card: Send a principal an e-card to show your appreciation. Choose from these e-cards, add a message, and schedule the date and time for the card to be delivered to your principal, and we’ll make sure your principal gets it.

Plan a Celebration in the School: Whether it’s teachers getting together to bring a sweet treat for their principal or encouraging students and faculty to send letters of support about their principal to the superintendent, there are many ways for students and teachers to show appreciation.

Follow #ThankAPrincipal on social media and the National Principals Month website for more events and programs as details become available.
