Club Connect Takes Off

Communicator
January 2014, Volume 37, Issue 5

Schools are helping students connect the dots between reading, raising funds, and providing resources through Club Connect, NAESP’s exclusive new partnership with United Way. Club Connect raises funds for your school, education programs in your community, and resources for principals through the NAESP Foundation.

United Way Club Connect is an annual membership program that delivers value to students and adults. To join, individuals purchase a membership card for $15 and receive a year’s worth of benefits.

Since the program’s introduction at NAESP’s national conference in July 2013, schools in seven states have launched campaigns and more are requesting implementation kits each day. For example, Playa del Rey Elementary in Gilbert, Arizona, is one school that’s on board. In this Communicator article, principal Robyn Conrad Hansen explains why the program has been a great fit for her school.
