Apply to Serve on NAESP Board of Directors

Serving on the NAESP Board of Directors gives members an opportunity to help the Association fulfill its goals of representing the profession, impacting the education of millions of children, and leading the Association and its members in advocating for the principalship and the value of public schools.

In accordance with NAESP Bylaws that were passed at the Delegate Assembly in Nashville, Tennessee, there are five positions to be filled during the upcoming 2015 NAESP election:

  • President-elect,
  • Vice-President, and
  • Directors for Zones 5, 7, and 9.

In addition, the Board of Directors will appoint a new Director At-Large, Ethnic Minority Level at the spring Board of Directors Meeting. Directors At-Large serve three-year terms, with no more than one term expiring annually. Terms of office begin July 1 and terminate June 30.

The deadline for submitting the Prospective Candidate Data form for the 2015 Zone Director Positions for Zones 5, 7, 9 is December 1, 2014. The deadline for submitting the Prospective Candidate Data form for the 2015 Director At-Large, Ethnic Minority Level appointment is December 1, 2014. The NAESP Board of Directors will appoint a Director At-Large, Minority Level at the spring Board of Directors meeting.
