Three New Staff Join the NAESP Team

The NAESP team is dedicated to leading in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle-level principals in their commitment to all children.

NAESP recently welcomed three new staff members. The NAESP team is dedicated to leading in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle-level principals in their commitment to all children.

Krysia Gabenski is the digital communication associate for NAESP. Gabenski has worked in both print and digital communication in the nonprofit arena after earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Gabenski’s areas of focus include writing, editing, social media marketing, web content management, and print and digital publications management. She previously worked as an editor at the Military Officers Association of America and most recently in strategic communication at the Colorado Dental Association.

Jackie McGrail serves as Director of Development for NAESP. McGrail has extensive experience as an educator relations/business development leader with a top insurance provider in the education market. She successfully created and maintained mutually beneficial partnerships with education associations across the U.S., including principals’ organizations in a large geographic area. Her development and execution of marketing plans resulted in increased market presence and brand recognition.

In addition to her educator relations and business development leadership, McGrail served for many years as an operations manager for Intracorp, a subsidiary of CIGNA.

Aaran Lurry has joined the team as Director of Professional Learning. Lurry holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. Lurry has 20 years of education experience. He has worked as an administrator for District of Columbia Public Schools, as a program manager at the Department of Health (Health Education), and as a senior training specialist for the District of Columbia.
