October Is National Principals Month

Oct. 1, 2021—Throughout October, the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) join together to celebrate National Principals Month, recognizing and honoring school leaders for their work and unrelenting commitment to their students, staff and school communities.

The past year and a half has ushered in some dark days, yet principals across the country have persisted as beacons of light. With every new challenge, they’ve risen to the occasion and led their learning communities forward with the bold leadership it deserves because they are the experts in what their students and schools need.

Over the course of the month, school leaders across the country will participate in various activities ranging from meeting with policymakers to engaging in robust discussions online.

If you’re interested in participating in an event, connect with one of the AFSA, NAESP, or NASSP team members whose contact information is listed below.
