NAESP Statement on the Nation’s Report Card
NAESP has issued the following statement regarding the results from the National Assessment of Educational Progress, also known as the Nation’s Report Card:
“Results from the latest Nation’s Report Card underscore what educators and families already know: The pandemic has affected student achievement and mental health and upended the lives of school families on many fronts,” said L. Earl Franks, Ed.D., CAE, NAESP executive director. “But they also highlight valuable information that shows us the most important areas to focus on as we work together to provide children the educational, social-emotional, and whole-child supports they need to overcome these challenges—efforts NAESP has been laser focused on since the pandemic hit as we support our members who are leading learning communities.”
