NAESP Receives Award for Principal Magazine

A special literacy-themed issue of Principal has won an Apex Award for Publication Excellence.

Alexandria, VA—July 27, 2018—The National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) has been awarded a 2018 APEX Award for Publication Excellence for its flagship publication, Principal magazine.

APEXNAESP received the award for the November/December 2017 edition of Principal, titled “Literacy Instruction: Chart a new course.” The issue addressed a wide scope of literacy topics relevant to school leaders, from news literacy to cross-curricular and disciplinary instruction, to quality feedback to choosing and evaluating a literacy program. It includes articles that focus on the evolving literacy skills that students need to know and be able to do, and how principals can help children learn these skills.

Administered by Communications Concepts, the APEX Awards saw over 1,400 entries submitted this year, each evaluated based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence.
