NAESP Platform 2020-2021
Elementary and middle-level principals work tirelessly on behalf of our nation’s students. Principals’ perspectives on how Pre-K-8 education should function is summarized in the NAESP Platform. NAESP’s advocacy staff works to shape Congress’s and U.S. Department of Education’s policies based on the belief statements included in the platform document. The Platform is reviewed and updated annually and submitted to the Board of Directors to review in February.
The NAESP Resolutions Committee meet every November to update the statements to accurately reflect the realities of your profession. The results of the 2020-2021 Committee’s diligent work were changes (edits, combinations, and deletions) to the Introduction and 15 resolutions.
Member feedback is critical to the resolution process. Review the statements and offer comments and suggestions via email by January 10, 2021.
