“School Spirit Monthly Events”
The main goal of school spirit activities is to foster a sense of community among the students, staff and parents. The Student Council meets at the beginning of the school year to plan the monthly events for the year. We focus on selecting activities that promote school pride and community building while also helping students develop essential social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. Following our initial meeting, we hold weekly sessions to assign specific roles and responsibilities to each member for organizing the monthly events, including advertising and promotion. Some of the events include Character Day, Read Aloud About using the Hidden Figure Curriculum, giveaways, and contests.
