“Morning Announcements: BCE News”

With goals of informing students and staff of daily school activities, strengthening social emotional learning through daily affirmations, and building on character traits, the student council took ownership of the morning announcements on the BCE News for the school year. Members were partnered up and assigned days to present the daily announcements for the school. Ongoing feedback is provided to improve presentation skills.  

“Hygiene Packs for 5th Graders”

The student council decided to promote good hygiene by making hygiene packs for 5th graders. With input from the school nurse, members made a list of products to include in the gender-specific packs. Items included deodorant, hair brushes, combs, hair gel, and chapstick. The school nurse gave the packs to each 5th grader during hygiene classes.
