The nation’s principals mourn the loss of life of Perry High School Principal Dan Marburger, who was originally hospitalized after a school shooting on January 4.

“Our hearts go out to the Perry, Iowa, school community as they cope with this tragedy,” said NAESP’s executive director, L. Earl Franks, Ed.D., CAE. “This additional loss of life—of a school principal who dedicated his life to the safety of his students—shines a bright light on the continued need for policies that prioritize school safety.”
