Attendance Avengers: Building a Culture of Belonging to Combat Absenteeism

Turn attendance improvement into a campus-wide mission of joy, ownership, and measurable impact.

Chronic absenteeism can’t be solved with consequences—it must be defeated with connection. In this engaging session, Boyd Elementary leaders Jana Clark and Cortnie Bryan share how they transformed attendance from a compliance task into a campus-wide mission of belonging, celebration, and shared responsibility. Through creative incentives, intentional staff engagement, and strong family partnerships, their Attendance Avengers initiative boosted campus attendance from 94.4% to 96% in just one year. Participants will learn how to turn attendance improvement into a joyful, sustainable movement that strengthens both culture and achievement.
