“February Kindness Campaign and School-wide Kick Off Assembly”

Students wanted to celebrate and recognize acts of kindness around our school. They aimed to highlight kind actions (i.e. helping a friend, giving a compliment, or simply being kind). They wanted to recognize these moments in a special way to encourage kindness throughout our school family. They discussed holding a Kindness Kickoff assembly where they could inspire all students to spread kindness through a video where they recorded students and staff talking about kindness. They spoke during the assembly and launched “Caught Being Kind” fish.

The student leaders organized fundraising efforts and coordinated shopping for two Angel Tree recipients. They took the initiative to engage their peers, promoting the importance of giving back to the community. Through teamwork and collaboration, they successfully raised funds and selected gifts that aligned with the recipient’s wishes, ensuring a meaningful impact during the holiday season.
