Seeking Member Input: Changes to the NAESP Platform and Resolutions

Member feedback is critical to the NAESP Platform and resolution process, as it shapes NAESP's advocacy agenda. Offer your input on proposed resolutions updates until Jan. 15, 2025.

NAESP Platform 2024-2025

Elementary and middle-level principals work tirelessly on behalf of our nation’s students. Principals’ perspectives on how pre-K-8 education should function is summarized in the NAESP Platform. NAESP’s advocacy staff works to shape Congress’s and U.S. Department of Education’s policies based on the belief statements included in the platform document. The Platform is reviewed and updated annually and submitted to the Board of Directors to review in March.

The NAESP Resolutions Committee meets every fall to update the statements to accurately reflect the realities of your profession. The results of the committee’s diligent work were changes (edits, combinations, and deletions) to twelve resolutions and the introduction.
