Many schools have created new vision statements, learner profiles, and college- and career-ready graduate portraits, but still are in the process of translating those into day-to-day instructional practice. In this Learning Lab we will discuss how to (re)design lessons and units to emphasize greater student agency, deeper learning, and durable skills. Come ready to redesign an elementary lesson together!

Participants will walk away with practical strategies and resources that they can use immediately, including:

• The ability to use the FREE 4 Shifts Protocol to redesign lessons and units for higher student agency and engagement;
• The ability to use the 4 Shifts Protocol as a curriculum planning resource, not just for instructional design; and
• Discussion / coaching questions for teaching staff, leadership teams, and families.
