Serving on the NAESP Board of Directors gives members an opportunity to help the Association fulfill its goals of representing the profession, impacting the education of millions of children, and leading the Association and its members in advocating for the principalship and the value of public schools. In accordance with NAESP Bylaws that were passed at the Delegate Assembly in Nashville, Tennessee, there are five positions to be filled during the upcoming 2015 NAESP election: President-elect, Vice-President, and Directors for Zones 5, 7, and 9.

Vice-President is a new position that will serve as the first stage in the succession to President. In the subsequent year, the Vice-President becomes President-Elect, and then President. As we transition to this new leadership election process, the Association will also elect a President-Elect for 2015.

If you are interested in serving on the NAESP Board of Directors and working to help the Association fulfill its goals for principals across the nation, contact NAESP Deputy Executive Director, Ernie Mannino (emannino@naesp.org) to find out more information about the role and to request a Prospective Candidate Data form.

The deadline for submitting the Prospective Candidate Data form for the 2015 President-Elect and Vice-President election is October 1, 2014. Information and deadlines for the Zone Directors election will be made at a later date.
