Drawing on children’s love of self-expression, the initiative enhances youngsters’ learning in writing, art, and music. The activities provide each student with meaningful experiences to complement learning during traditional academic instruction. Under Del Collo, the school also has hosted monthly town meetings to celebrate student and staff successes as a community. Del Collo has a B.S. from Millersville University in Pennsylvania and an M.Ed. from Widener University in Pennsylvania.
