NAESP releases a statement on the Creating Early Childhood Leaders Act.

“Every child’s first years in elementary school are critical to setting their academic foundation for all future learning,” said NAESP Executive Director L. Earl Franks, Ed.D., CAE. “These formative years are a unique time that require educators to understand early childhood development, supportive instructional practices, and early grade transitions. We commend Rep. Brittany Pettersen for introducing the Creating Early Childhood Leaders Act to require school leadership programs that receive Teacher Quality Partnership grants to provide training in early childhood development.”
