What You’ll Gain
On a professional level, you’ll gain insight to better serve on a school district’s policy committee and strengthen relationships with school board and community members. You’ll be able to share with your school district “hot off the press” news, sometimes before they know about it.
On a personal level, you will serve as key role models and representatives for the profession, learn organizational planning and budgeting, and hone public speaking skills. Being an NAESP board member will help you better understand yourself as a leader and helps you grow outside the parameters of your current and immediate lens.
