USING OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES (OER) TO EMPOWER COLLABORATIVE LEARNING COMMUNITIES
Description : This webinar will introduce the use of Open Educational Resources (OER) and how they can provide the basis for powerful collaboration among instructional teams, as well as enrich learning experiences for students. We'll begin with an overview of these free, open-licensed resources, how policies are changing to encourage their ability to support successful implementation of the Common Core State Standards. Then we'll look at the promises and challenges of OER and where you can find some of the best resources. An elementary principal and teacher will each talk about their experiences with OER, and we'll wrap up with some concrete suggestions for how you can begin putting OER to use in your school.
