The NAESP Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to securing and stewarding private gifts and grants that benefit the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Each year, hundreds of generous benefactors make gifts to show their support for NAESP.

The National Children's Book of the Year Award Contest is open to anyone who is interested in being a published children's book author—including self-published books. Last year's winners were Excuse Me, I’m Trying to Read for the Picture Book category and The Young Healer for the Chapter Book category. They will be released at the NAESP Annual Conference in Seattle.
