National Distinguished Principals to be Honored in Washington, D.C.

Setpember 2012, Volume 36, Issue 1

Each year during National Principals Month, NAESP honors elementary and middle-level administrators who have gone above and beyond for their school communities, setting high standards for instruction, student achievement, character, and climate for the students, families, and staffs.

This year’s class of sixty National Distinguished Principals represents public and private schools from every state, as well international U.S. Department of State schools. They will be honored at a program October 18 and 19 in Washington, D.C., that includes a reception at the National Archives, home of the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

The National Distinguished Principals’ visit to D.C. will also include presentations on leadership, a group photo in front of the White House, and a formal awards dinner.

Congratulations to this year’s class. Read about your state’s honorees here.
