NAESP Launches Dissertation Competition

NAESP is proud to offer a competition for outstanding dissertations on leadership research focused at the elementary school level. The competition is open to doctoral students who have completed and successfully defended their dissertations between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012.
Dissertations must be focused on school leadership with specific emphasis on one or more of the six domains identified in “Rethinking Principal Evaluation: A New Paradigm Informed by Research and Practice.” The six key domains areas include: Professional Growth and Learning, Student Growth and Achievement, School Planning and Progress, School Culture, Professional Qualities and Instructional Leadership, and Stakeholder Support and Engagement
The competition winner will receive a complimentary one-year NAESP membership, a cash award of $1,000 (member) or $500 (non-member), a commemorative plaque, and a press release to the winner’s local community newspaper. The winning research findings may also be published through a variety of mediums.
