The National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), founded in 1921, is a professional organization serving elementary and middle school principals and other education leaders throughout the U.S., Canada, and overseas.

NAESP ADVOCATES for principals and provides high-quality professional learning and resources aligned to leadership standards.

NAESP SUPPORTS school leaders in providing students a well-rounded and complete education, which includes access to high-quality early learning, arts integration, and afterschool and summer learning.

NAESP STRENGTHENS the principal pipeline through mentor training and support for early career principals, assistant principals, and aspiring principals.

The mission of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) is to lead in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle-level principals and other education leaders in their commitment for all children.

The association believes that the progress and wellbeing of the individual child must be at the forefront of all elementary and middle school planning and operations. Further, NAESP supports elementary and middle-level principals as the primary catalyst for creating a lasting foundation for learning, driving school and student performance, and shaping the long-term impact of school improvement efforts.
